Adults (High School students welcome)
Learn to Use Your Digital Point and Shoot Camera:
Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 PM January 18 - February 22. Get the most out of your point and shoot camera by learning the technical controls as well as the creative possibilities ! There will be an emphasis on fundamentals as well as getting the best composition for your subject. Bring your camera and instruction manual to the first class. Instructor: Denise Zingg. 6 weeks: $75.
Drawing or Painting Study:
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 – 9:30 PM. January 10 – March 14. or Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 noon January 11 - March 14. Learn for life in this highly individualized class. All levels are welcome as a solid understanding of fundamentals leads to creating your own unique brand of expression with the media of your choice: drawing, watercolor, acrylic or oil painting. Instructor: Denise Zingg. 5 weeks: $85 or 10 weeks: $150.
Ceramics: Fun with Raku! Saturdays 9:30 AM – 12:00 noon February 4 - March 31. Learn a variety of hand-building or wheel- throwing techniques as you work with the colorful glazing and outdoor firing method of Raku. All levels welcome. Instructor: Mark Hyde. 9 weeks: $135. (includes 25lbs. clay, all glazes, firings and extra studio time – a great deal!)
Matting and Framing Workshop: Thursdays 6:30 – 8:30 PM January 12 – February 9. Put the final touch on any 2 dimensional artwork! Bring at least 2 pieces (11 x 14 or smaller) to the first class and learn to choose the best mat and frame for them! You’ll learn to cut mats and put wood or metal frames together and get plenty of practice! 5 weeks: $75.
Fees for work in the Studios: $10 per hour or $60 per month for Ceramics, Black and White Darkroom or Matting and Framing Studios.
Full time high school and college students: $5 per hour or $30 per month.
For Children (all materials included) :
Hooray for Clay ! (ages 8 – 12) Saturdays 1:00 – 3:00 PM January 14 - February 11. Have fun making several kinds of pottery as well as cool sculpture with a variety of hand-building techniques. 5 weeks: $60.
Make an Impression and Paint Like an Impressionist ! (ages 7 – 10) Saturdays 10:00 – 12:00 noon. February 18 - March 17. We'll borrow some ideas from the Impressionists like Monet, Degas and Cassatt and create beautiful paintings with watercolor and acrylic, suitable for framing ! Instructor: Denise Zingg 5 weeks: $55
We Can do Custom Classes or Workshops!
Design your own class or workshop! (ex.: clay pottery/animals, charcoal drawing, papier mache sculpture, comic books, pinhole cameras, etc!)
Get 4 or more people (any age) and we’ll brainstorm some ideas to provide you with a unique and memorable experience !
