
Drawing & Painting Classes
Starting the week of September 8th, 2025

Drawing/Painting classes are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays - starting the week of September 8, 2025
Date: Starting on the week of September 8, 2025 - from 9am to noon. You can sign up for 5 classes or 10.

Level: All skill levels are welcome. Classes include individualized instruction within a small class size, taught by Denise Zingg (Founder/President). Those who wish to learn watercolor, oil, or acrylic painting should have a good drawing background. Bring your own supplies (see list below).

Cost:
5 classes for $150
10 classes for $250

Supplies you'll need:
For multimedia drawing:

18"x24" Drawing pad - newsprint paper

13"x16" Sketchbook - white acid-free paper
-
1 pkg (of 2) Conte crayons: "B" [hardness]
-
Water soluble thin black marker (Flair or similar)
-
Ebony or Blackwing pencil
-
Regular #2 pencil
-
Kneaded eraser
-
T-square and triangle

Optional:

Chalk pastels, pastel pencils, Crayola crayons, India ink, colored pencils, large portfolio carrying case, supply box

For painting:
Paint pigments for oil, acylic, and watercolor:
-
Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Medium, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Sap Green, Phthalo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna (or Burnt Umber), large tube of Titanium White (only cor acrylic, not watercolor). Winsor Newton brand recommended.

Oil:

Turpenoid or odorless turpentine, painting medium or linseed oil and damar varnish

Bristle brushes: 1/2" flat, 1" flat, #8 Filbert #s Synthetic sable: #s 4, 6, 8, 12 round

Blending brush: oval 3/4" mop

Wooden palette, palette knives - various sizes

Variety of canvas sizes 11"x14" and larger

Canvas boards for practice

Metal or glass container for painting medium
