Black & White Invitational Showcase

Featuring: Creations that are black, white, and shades of grey. Our annual invitational showcases are open to the public to submit/participate.

"Something’s Fishy " - Invitational Showcase

On Display: July 11, 2026 through September 6th, 2026
Public Submission: Calling all artists, sculptors, photographers and beyond! Drop-off one 'fishy' creation to have on display in our Lake Room (largest gallery room) for this FINtastic showcase. Non-gallery members are asked to provide a $25 hanging fee (no cost for members).
Drop-off: 11am to 4pm on June 27th, 28th, and July 5th. Please contact us directly if you need an alternate drop-off date prior to July 5th.

ARTERY
PAST Showcase
This is an annual exhibit that takes place each winter.
Nov. 15th, 2025 - Jan. 4, 2026
Art + Poetry = Artery!
This showcase features collaborative art between Spectrum's gallery members and local poets. The public is invited to participate by adding some words/art to the paper on the walls. This year, gallery members provided the art to inspire the words. Next year, poets will provide the words that will inspire the art. The collaboration switches each year.

A Retrospective...Beginning with The Horse

Exhibit through March 2026
This showcase is on display in our Rainbow Room - featuring the art of Sunny Sinclair. The illustration of the horse in the flyer was made by Sunny when she was approximately 13-14 years old. Sunny has been with Spectrum School of the Arts and Gallery since it began in 1980. She has worked with numerous mediums and materials over the years.

January Fine Art Invitational
PAST Showcase
This is an annual exhibit that takes place each winter.
Jan. 10, 2026 - Feb. 8, 2026
This showcase features a wide variety of media including: illustration, oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; traditional darkroom photography, digital photography, fiber arts, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media. All creations are made by local artists from Racine and Kenosha.

Racine County Art Teachers Showcase

Join us for the Racine County Art Teachers Showcase, a special exhibition featuring artwork from talented local art teachers across Racine County. This annual event highlights the incredible creativity and skill of our educators, who inspire students every day.

Wear a Heart - Get Some Art
PAST Showcase
This is an annual exhibit that takes place each winter.
Feb. 14, 2026 - March 8, 2026
This showcase features art by Spectrum's Gallery members: "Art We Heart". During this exhibit, the public is invited to wear a heart to the gallery and receive one gifted piece of art. Gallery members provide a wide variety of creations you can choose from: drawings, paintings, three-dimensional items like pots, sculptures, etc. There is no cost to participate and receive a piece of artwork from the designated table. Donations are appreciated, but not required.
